Founder & CEO – Rupak Dua, Ph.D.
Dr. Dua is a biomedical engineer and materials scientist with extensive experience in biomaterials, polymers, coatings, surface engineering, analytical testing, and tissue engineering.
Prior to founding Materials Metric, he was the Director of Polymers & Materials Division at the American Dental Association Science & Research Institute. He has led advanced R&D programs, secured over $1M in competitive federal research funding, and supported multiple NIH, DoD, and industry-sponsored projects. He has held faculty positions at Hampden-Sydney College and Hampton University and is currently an affiliate faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). At Materials Metric, he drives a science-first approach that ensures accuracy, clarity, and innovation in every study.
